Keith R. Thompson

Keith R. Thompson is an author, economist, researcher, and lifelong student of the forces that shape achievement, success, and society. His professional career spans economics, international taxation, transfer pricing, management consulting, academia, and public service.

About the Author

Keith currently works as an international tax and Transfer Pricing expert for one of America’s largest corporations. Previously, he served as a Senior Economist specializing in Transfer Pricing with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as an adjunct Economics professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Before his work with the Treasury Department, he worked as a management consultant with both large and small corporations across a variety of industries. His academic background includes study at several prestigious universities, including Columbia University in New York.

A Curiosity About What Creates Greatness

Keith's interest in success began during his final year of high school, when he started questioning what separates extraordinary achievement from ordinary outcomes. After college, he continued exploring these questions through extensive reading and research into the lives of successful entrepreneurs and influential figures throughout history.

He became particularly interested in whether success comes from persistence, mindset, perspective, opportunity, or the ability to recognize and create possibilities that others overlook.

Exploring the Stories Behind Achievement

Rather than simply celebrating accomplishments, Keith seeks to understand how and why they happened. His books encourage readers to look beneath the surface to examine the decisions, challenges, qualities, and circumstances that shaped remarkable careers and lasting legacies.

Through his writing, Keith invites readers to explore history from a different perspective: not simply asking who succeeded, but asking what can we learn from how they did it?

Beyond his professional career, Keith has developed a deep interest in understanding what drives achievement and what separates extraordinary individuals from everyone else. His curiosity about success began during his final year of high school and continued through college and his professional life. He has spent years studying successful entrepreneurs, influential individuals, and the decisions and circumstances that helped shape their accomplishments.

That curiosity has become a central theme in his writing.
